Vitor Belfort will look to rebound from his loss to Anderson Silva when he faces Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 133 on August 6 in Philadelphia.

“After three straight Fight of the Night performances, Yoshihiro Akiyama will take on former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort August 6 in Philadelphia,” UFC President Dana White told UFC.com.

Belfort (19-9) earned a title shot with a win over Rich Franklin in his return to the UFC in 2009, but was sidelined for more than a year before being knocked out by Silva in the opening round at UFC 126.

Akiyama (13-3) earned a controversial decision over Alan Belcher in his Octagon debut in 2009 before dropping back-to-back bouts to Chris Leben and Michael Bisping last year.
