After having back surgery in December, Cheick Kongo is looking to return to UFC action in June, which would coincide with the expected return of recent heavyweight challenger Shane Carwin.

A match up between the Kongo and Carwin makes sense with most of the other top contenders in the division already tied up with upcoming fights.

Carwin hasn’t fought since UFC 116 last July when he was defeated by Brock Lesnar in a heavyweight title bout. Carwin went 12-0 prior to the loss.
