will find himself headlining another event come March 26th, when the UFC’s Fight Night 24 event gets underway in Seattle, Washington. Ortiz will face the daunting challenge imposed by longtime light heavyweight contender , brother to former heavyweight champion .

Ortiz last competed at where he dropped a unanimous decision to Matt Hamill. Ortiz’s professional record stands at 15-8-1. He has not won a mixed martial arts bout since October of 2006 when he stopped Ken Shamrock in the final chapter of their lopsided trilogy.

Nogueira on the other hand has pieced together seven wins in his last eight fights. He lost a close decision to rising prospect Ryan Bader at in September. Prior to the bout with Bader “Little Nog” had earned UFC victories over Jason Brilz and Luis Artur Cane Jr. His professional record stands at 19-4.
