Thanks to FightLine.com for the following:

Two-time UFC welterweight champion and Montreal native Georges St-Pierre will go home to Montreal to face No. 1 contender at : St-Pierre vs. Koscheck in just a little over two weeks. St-Pierre is one of the most dominant UFC champions ever and enjoys a spot in the top three of most MMA pundit’s pound-for-pound rankings, and explained why he keeps garnering victory after victory.

“There is something that I have that most other people doesn’t have,” said St-Pierre. “I can put it all together and I can always figure out how to bring the fight where I’m at my best and he’s at the weakest.”

Koscheck has played his usual role of the heel leading up to his rematch (St. Pierre defeated Koscheck via unanimous decision back in August of 2007) with St. Pierre and, during time spent as opposing coaches on the currently airing season of The Ultimate Fighter, Koscheck has done enough to ruffle St. Pierre’s feathers. The champion feels that Koscheck’s trash-talk gives him an advantage heading into the fight.

“[Josh] Koscheck is the perfect guy to fight, he’s a perfect villain,” he explained. “I cannot ask for a better match-up than this. I’m a specialist to fight guys that trash-talk, I’m a specialist at rematches, and I’m a specialist to fight wrestlers. Koscheck’s done the three things.”

A man that didn’t even wrestle in high school, the 29-year-old welterweight champion has become one of the greatest pure wrestlers/grapplers in the UFC, an area where Koscheck usually enjoys the advantage against his opponents. However, St-Pierre believes he’s better than Koscheck in every aspect of the game.

“I think I’m a better overall fighter than Josh Koscheck, I think I’m better everywhere than he is,” he stated. “Even in a wrestling match, I would not be scared to wrestle with him… I think I’m a better wrestler than he is.

“I’ve got more experience than he has, I think I’m a better athlete than he is and I’m more well-rounded and skilled than he is,” he continued. “The odds are on my side.”

The Montreal native is currently riding a seven-fight win streak with names that include UFC Hall of Famer , , , Matt Serra, , Dan Hardy and Koscheck. In their first meeting, GSP earned a hard-fought unanimous decision against the versatile Koscheck at UFC 74 in 2007, however has different plans this time around.

“I guarantee I’m going to be relentless, I’m going in there to take him out. As soon as he makes that first mistake, he’s going to get knocked out or submitted.”

UFC 124: St-Pierre vs. Koscheck takes place on Saturday, December 11 from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
