After a close fight between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and , which “Rampage” won in a split decision, both Machida and Jackson promptly agreed to another meeting before retiring from the UFC.

However, UFC President said after the right that “Rampage” earned a clear win to move closer to a title shot and that an immediate rematch isn’t in the cards.

“No. As far as I’m concerned, and apparently, as far as the judges are concerned, Rampage won that fight,” White said.
