Shane Carwin is expected to resume training in 8 to 12 weeks after undergoing back surgery earlier this week. Shane Carwin was experiencing pressure on nerves which forced him out of a January fight with Roy Nelson.

“I will be better than ever,” Carwin wrote on Twitter. “Taking over my cardio, I am going to be healthy, which means others won’t be when I’m done.”

It’s still unknown when Carwin will be able to return or who his next opponent will be.
