With Josh Koscheck set to challenge Georges St. Pierre for the welterweight title at December’s UFC 124, Jake Shields could get a shot at the winner if he defeats Martin Kampmann on his debut next Saturday at UFC 121.
“If Jake Shields should win against Martin Kampmann, it will probably be him next,” UFC President Dana White announced.
Shields (25-4-1) vacated Strikeforce’s middleweight title to join the UFC after pushing his win streak to 14-straight with an April win over veteran Dan Henderson. Kampmann (17-3) has won 4 of his last 5 fights, including an impressive win over Paulo Thiago.
Jon Fitch also recently campaigned to fight the Shields-Kampmann winner next.

Secondly, you did not answer any of my questionsl because you know deep inside that MMA is way better. I watched David Haye against wladimir klitschko, what a boring fight. If you think that it is just 2 guys rolling around, you obviously have not seen many fights.
