Chris Leben, a rising middleweight will continue on with his climb towards a title shot when his comeback to fight against former WEC champion Brian Stann will take on in Las Vegas on January 1 as a pay-per-view main card at UFC 125. This matchup was reported first by the MMAjunkie earlier.

After earning the “fight night” bonuses, Leben quickly rose up the middleweight rankings and back-to-back wins against Aaron Simpson and Yoshihro Akiyama just about two weeks apart last summer.

Stann dropped a unanimous decision to Phil Davis in February but made his middleweight debut in August by submitting Mike Massenzio in the third round.

So basically the UFC 125 fight card feature fighters such as Thiago Silva vs. Brandon Vera and could even include the middleweight champion Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort or a lightweight champion Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard.
