Vitor Belfort Out in UFC 122, Nate Marquardt steps in to face Okami

Former UFC light heavyweight champ Vitor Belfort was pulled out from the main event of UFC 122 against Yushin Okami due to an undisclosed injury, reports came out that fellow middleweight contender Nate Marquardt has already accepted to step in and face Yushin Okami in the main event of UFC 122 this November 13 in Oberhausen, Germany, according to MMA Weekly.

Marquardt recently won against Rousimar Palhares via first round technical knockout at the main event of UFC fight Night 22 last week, while Okami earned a split decision win against Mark Munoz last August 1.

Winner of the said event will earn a title shot against current UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva.
