advanced to the middleweight title as he put down via TKO at the first round last Wednesday held in Austin, Texas in the main event of the UFC Fight Night 22.

Earlier at round 1, Marquardt has been taken down midway by Palhare but eventually he got free even before Palhares tried to grab a leg for a submission. Marquardt then quickly astonished him a heavy punch before finishing Palhares off with even more shots on the ground.

During the replays, it showed how Palhares was complaining that Marquardt’s leg was greased as he got caught but eventually the officials cleared and said that Marquadt didn’t do anything and said that he had really worked up a sweat to remain elusive.

Following is the co-headliner of the said night, the lightweight prospect which is Charles Oliveira is still unbeaten with a submission at the third round of TUF 8 winner . On the other hand, both Jim Milller and scored victorious on the Spike-televised main card.
