Chris Leben scheduled his comeback to UFC 125 in Las Vegas this January 1

Chris Leben, the rising middleweight fighter is scheduled to be returning to action this January 1 at UFC 125 which will be held in Las Vegas after sitting out the second half of 2010 and following his back-to-back wins against Aaron Simpson and Yoshihiro Akiyama.

Simpson experienced his first loss over Leben with the “Knockout of the Night” at June’s TUF 11 Finale, he then stepped in two weeks later for an injured Wanderlei Silva and scored “Fight of the Night” honors with a submission of Akiyama in the third round at UFC 116.

Silva even stated that Leben would be the perfect opponent for his next fight at last month’s UFC Fan Expo. But “the Axe Murderer” is still not expected to return until February or March.

Thiago Silva vs. Brandon Vera are also featured in the fight cards of the UFC 125 and could even include middleweight champions Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen or maybe lightweight champ Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard.
