Brazilian light heavyweight contender Thiago Silva 14-2-0 (Win-Loss-Draw) shared his thoughts recently on a potential bout against fellow light heavyweight Brandon “The Truth” Vera at UFC 125 event that is planned early next year. Both fighters came from a loss; Silva was defeated by Rashad “Suga” Evans via unanimous decision at UFC 108 last January 2, while Vera recently lost to Jon “Bones”Jones via technical knockout in the first round.
“Everything depends on the athlete. To get there really hungry for the win sometimes is not a good thing, but everyone is different. I’ll be ready, for sure, and let’s see what happens. I think it’s a good fight, the two of us like to bang and it seems it’ll be a great fight. I’m anxious for this fight, our games match. He won’t be like trying to grab me all the time, we’ll trade a lot of punches. There’s plenty time and I still have to fix my spine. I’m doing treatment for it. It’ll take a month so I can go back to the trainings, but now I just have to wait for me to fight again.” Silva said via Tatame.com
