Former number one heavyweight Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko 31-2-0 (Win-Loss-Draw) has agreed to extend his contract with Strikeforce for 4-6 more fights after a shocking loss at the hands of via submission (Triangle Armbar) in the first round last June 26.

“For now M-1Global works with Strikeforce and we are concentrating on that, the contract is not over yet. So for now we don’t have any interest in the UFC, so far I feel very comfortable fighting, very good with my fighting, and I’m planning on fighting as long as I can physically. As far and I’m concerned we should discuss the possibility of signing another contract for 4-6 fights.” Emelianenko said Thursday at press conference for Saturday’s M-1 Selection: Americas event in New Jersey.
