Former UFC number one lightweight contender Diego “Nightmare” Sanchez 21-4-0 (Win-Loss-Draw) returns in the Octagon at UFC 121:”Lesnar vs. Velasquez” on Octoer 23 at the Honda Center, California. After losing his last two fights to former UFC lightweight champ BJ “Prodigy” Penn and welterweight John Hathaway, “The Nightmare” has returned to Greg Jackson’s team in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is currently preparing his next bout against UFC welterweight contender Paulo Thiago.

Sanchez won the “Ultimate Fighter” season 1 and has won four straight fights against guys like Joe “Big Daddy” Stevenson, Luigi Fioravanti and Clay Guida to earn a title shot at the UFC lightweight belt that was held before by BJ Penn, but suffered a technical knockout loss due to Doctor Stoppage in the final round and recently lost a unanimous decision to welterweight prospect John Hathaway last June in his return to welterweight (170 pounds).
