A rib injury which almost forced Anderson Silva out of his UFC 117 fight against Chael Sonnen will likely sideline the UFC middleweight champ until February or March, according to sources.

With Silva out for several months and the UFC considering either a rematch for Sonnen or a title shot for Vitor Belfort, the UFC could have Sonnen and Belfort square off his this fall to determine who will challenge Silva when he returns.
