– The winner of UFC 117′s Roy Nelson vs. Junior dos Santos fight is going to receive a title shot against the winner of the UFC 121 fight between Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez and the loser of Saturday’s fight would then face Shane Carwin in their next fight.

– A middleweight fight between Nate Marquardt and Rousimar Palhares has been moved from UFC 118 to the main event of UFC Fight Night 22 on September 15.
