has been forced to withdraw from his fight with Tim Boetsch on August 7. Silva began his career with 13 straight wins, but recently lost to back in January for his second loss in his last three fights.

Newcomer Todd Brown (11-1) will make his UFC debut and replace an injured Thiago Silva against Tim Boetsch (11-3) on the preliminary card of UFC 117.
