Former Strikeforce middleweight champion Jake Shields officially signed with the UFC. Shields will make his Octagon debut against Martin Kampmann at UFC 121 on October 23.

Shields wrote the following on Twitter: “UFC contract officially signed. Fighting Kampmann in CA in a few months. Thanks to Dana White and everyone for their support.”
