Mauricio “Shogun” Rua Out of UFC Action Until March

Mauricio “Shogun” Rua is recovering from successful surgery on his knee, but will be out of action until March 2011, UFC President Dana White announced at the UFC 116 pre-fight press conference.

“Shogun’s great, his knee’s coming along great,” White said. “It’s all good.”

Rashad Evans earned title shot with his May win over Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and is expected be the first challenger for Rua, who won the title with a first-round KO of Lyoto Machida in May.
