After losing by a submission to in just 69-seconds at “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Werdum,” said that he made a mistake by trying to finish the fight right of the bad and he hopes to get a rematch Werdum, who shocked the world by handing Fedor his first loss in nearly 10 years.

“At the very beginning of the round I hit Fabricio and I wanted to finish as soon as possible, and at that moment I made a mistake,” Emelianenko said. “Certainly I would like to have a rematch with Fabricio. If he agrees, I would love to do that.”

“I was made, kind of, an idol and everybody loses. I’m a normal human being like everyone else, and if it’s God’s will, next fight we’ll win.”
