, who was scheduled to Yoshihiro Akiyama at in July, has withdrawn from the card after suffering broken ribs in training.

Chris Leben has agreed to replace the injured Wanderlei Silva and will face Yoshihiro Akiyama in the co-main event of UFC 116. Leben (20-6) earned “Knockout of the Night” in his last fight at the TUF 11 Finale.

Akiyama said today that he is “disappointed” with the new matchup and threatened to withdraw from the July 3 event, but ultimately agreed to the fight.
