Thiago Alves Cleared to Return, Rematch With Jon Fitch At UFC 117

Thiago Alves is set to finally return against Jon Fitch on August 7 at UFC 117 after recently being cleared to return from successful brain surgery that cancelled their March’s UFC 111 fight.

A knee injury to Alves postponed the rematch from UFC 107, then their UFC 111 match was scrapped after Alves was suspended indefinitely for failing a pre-fight CT scan with a brain irregularity.
