Recent quotes from about his plans in the future and calling out the current UFC Light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. Filho with a record of 19-1 (Win-Loss) shares his plans via GracieMag.com:

“I couldn’t miss the chance to challenge Shogun. I want to fight him and really feel the pressure up close by the end of my career.”

Filho has pulled out three fights from the last 12 months including the recent Bellator fight against Hector Lombard. Does he deserve another chance? Can he finally show to the world that he is one of the best?

19-0 huh? What about when he lost to Chael Sonnen at WEC 36. Does that not count? I know it was a non title fight because Filho’s fat a$$ came in over weight but I’m still pretty sure that makes him 19-1.
