UFC President Dana White believes that the winner of “The Ultimate Fighter” season one Diego “Nightmare” Sanchez really belongs to the Lightweight division. Sanchez loss to British native and top welterweight prospect John Hathaway last Saturday’s event at UFC 114. Sanchez had some successful fights in the lightweight division and his only loss was against the former UFC Lightweight champion BJ “Prodigy” Penn.
Quotes from UFC President Dana White via MMA Fighting.com:
“I don’t think Diego belongs at 170. I think it’s easier to be at 170 but he looked soft. He looked real lethargic and slow and heavy. At 155, he’s a tough guy. I’m not his manager but I think he belongs to 155. A loss to BJ Penn doesn’t mean you go back to 170. It means you stay at 155 and you do what Kenny Florian did. Get back in line and work your way up to the top again. Diego does not lokk good at 170.” White said.
