World ranked and top welterweight/middleweight Jake Shields 25 – 4 – 1 (Win – Loss – Draw) is almost at the end of his contract in Strikeforce and rumors are spreading like fire that UFC President Dana White can’t wait to sign up Shields.
“I’m not 100% free agent and I still have another month before being a free agent.” Jake said. “I need to sit down and see what will happen and what is Strikeforce has to offer and what they intend to do. There are 2 top fighters that I want to fight and that are current UFC Welterweight champion George “Rush” St.Pierre and the current UFC Middleweight champion Anderson “Spider” Silva.”
Jake Shields against George St.Pierre will be a more entertaining fight because it’s still a debate in the world of MMA who is the best welterweight fighter in the world. “I am hoping that the fight will be happening soon. I think we have a lot in common and that’s the wrestling skills we both possessed. I would say that my submission grappling is a little better; his stand up game is a little better.
Let’s cross our fingers and hope that this fight will materialize to know who the best welterweight fighter in the world is. Let’s get it on!
