A local newspaper in Las Vegas spoke with the trainer of former UFC Light heavyweight champion , Jimmy Gifford who told them about Griffin’s successful surgery on his shoulder. Griffin was originally scheduled to fight this coming against Brazilian but was forced to pull out because of the injury. The former UFC Light heavy weight champion will likely make a comeback in the fall.

Griffin saw a specialist in Los Angeles and had his minor injury worked on. It’s a minor surgery and nothing serious. Griffin will begin his physical therapy in six weeks and will be ready for 12 weeks. Team Griffin is not saying a sure scheduled return but it depends on the progress of Forrest, October is a guess on a scheduled return or maybe late September, but it’s not official. UFC usually has a scheduled November event in the U.S soil and December in the Sin City, Las Vegas. Griffin loves to fight in Las Vegas and prefers to fight in Las Vegas than travel in a different place.
