A fourth meeting between Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture is reportedly in the works for UFC 116 on July 3 in Las Vegas.
Liddell was originally scheduled to fight Tito Ortiz at UFC 115, but the fight is now in doubt. There is apparently controversy surrounding The Ultimate Fighter 111, which is coached by Liddell and Ortiz. Reports indicate the Ortiz did not finish the taping. UFC will not release any details on the situation until the finale airs.
Dana White is denying that Couture will be fighting Liddell, citing that a Franklin vs. Couture fight is in the works.
Liddell has a 2-1 edge over Couture. UFC 116 will also feature Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin. Liddell (21-7) has lost his last four of five fights while Couture is coming off two-straight wins over Brandon Vera and Mark Coleman.
