Dana White: Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos Due For Title Shot

said that heavyweight contenders and are both in line for title shots:

“Dos Santos got himself in the mix the other day. If you questioned whether he should be or not, he showed the other night that he should be. The way I see it is, and the way my luck’s gone lately is with injuries and stuff we keep these guys in line. If the Mir-Carwin winner comes out healthy, he goes right into fighting this summer, then you’ve got Cain Velasquez waiting in the wings for the next fight, then you’ve got dos Santos ready for the next one. I like having these guys in line for a lot of good fights.

“I don’t think it’ll be a year (for dos Santos’ title show). He can fight again. We’re not going to put him on the bench, but you don’t have him fight Cain Velasquez. I don’t know (who), but there’s somebody in the mix. If he loses along the way to somebody else, he definitely wasn’t ready for Lesnar or whoever the champion is.”
