– Former lightweight champion Sean Sherk will return to the Octagon against Rafaello Oliveira at UFC 108 on January 2 in Las Vegas.  Sherk (33-4-1) was stripped of the lightweight title in 2007 after testing positive for steroids and has gone just 1-2 since returning, winning over Tyson Griffin last October and suffering losses to BJ Penn and Frankie Edgar. Oliveira (9-2) had his three-fight winning streak stopped in his UFC debut in September, suffering a unanimous decision to Nik Lentz at UFC 103.

– Renzo Gracie and former champ Matt Hughes will likely take place at UFC 109. Gracie joins the UFC after winning three-straight, most-recently defeating Frank Shamrock by DQ in early-2007 in EliteXC.  Hughes had lost back-to-back fights before getting a win in May over Matt Serra.
