Fedor Emelianenko could be out of action for up to six months due to a hand injury suffered in his second-round knockout of Brett Rogers on Saturday.

Emelianenko’s next fight was likely against Fabricio Werdum, who also won on Saturday’s card over former EliteXC champ Antonio Silva.  With Emelianenko sidelined, a match between Werdum and Strikeforce title-holder Alistair Overeem could now take place with Emelianenko then fighting the winner in mid-2010.
