After Quinton “Rampage” Jackson withdrew from his fight with and possibly retired for good from fighting, (14-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) has verbally agreed to fight (13-1-1 MMA, 8-1-1 UFC) in the co-main event of . An agreement is expected to be finalized shortly.

UFC 108 is scheduled for January 2 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and is expected to feature a main event between current UFC middleweight champion and challenger .
