Former UFC Champion Out of Action, Rapper DMX’s MMA Debut

- According to MMAWeekly, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Tim Sylvia suffered a broken right hand in his fight with Jason Riley at Adrenaline MMA 4. He had surgery on Monday to repair the damage. Sylvia will be out until later this year, with a hopeful return around New Year’s Eve in Japan. Sylvia is not officially contracted for a bout yet, but is expected to compete around that time.

- According to fiveouncesofpain.com, rapper DMX will make his MMA debut on December 12th against Eric Martinez. The bout will be a part of the “Alabama Pride” card in Birmingham, Alabama for Thunder Promotions. DMX’s opponent, Eric Martinez, is the CEO of Powermoves Entertainment, and has done business with DMX in the past. The main event for the show will be Tank Abbott vs. Butterbean.
