UFC middleweight contender has stated that he intends to hold out for a financially better deal than the previous one he completed. Henderson is currently a free agent and while he wishes to stay with the UFC, negotiations between the two sides have been stalling. Here is what Henderson had to say:

I’m holding firm for what I think I deserve. If they sign me, I’ll fight who they want me to fight. Even if I get Silva now, after I beat him Marquardt would be the top contender, so I’d have to fight him next anyway. Beat him now or beat him later, it doesn’t matter. I’ll have to fight Marquardt eventually. If I was the UFC I wouldn’t waste a fight between us. It all depends on . If he’s not going to fight until April, I don’t want to wait that long. But I’ll do what I have to do to fight him.

  1. He shouldn’t hold out too much. It might cost him in the end. That’s just my opinion.
