- UFC has announced that UFC 102 ended up drawing 16,088 fans for a $1.92 million gate, the fifth largest gate in Oregon combat-sports history. The numbers are pretty amazing as most expected the attendance to be around 10,000 after somewhat sluggish ticket sales, but a strong walk-up ended up making the event a massive success. White said earlier in the week that he would be happy if the show drew 10,000 fans. White said after the show that UFC will return to Portland, but will probably go to Seattle first. He also praised the UFC 102 crowd for creating an intense atmosphere.
