- Now apparently Tamdan McCrory and Thales Leites will remain cut from UFC. Yahoo Sports reported earlier that planned to keep both after UFC cut them earlier in the week, but now White has decided to go ahead with the releases after discussing the matter internally. White had directly told Yahoo Sports that both men would stay with UFC but ended up changing his mind. China’s Art of War promotion has already contacted McCrory about coming to find for them. McCrory is also considering a move to the middleweight
division with plans to contact Strikeforce about a deal.

- UFC welterweight Chris Lytle underwent successful knee surgery on Friday. Lytle had to be pulled from the UFC Fight Night 19 card where he was to face Carlos Condit due to the injury which he suffered during training. Lytle had surgery in Indianapolis. Doctors reconstructed his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and repaired his medial meniscus. He is expected to be out for the next six months or so.

- WEC has released the following new promo video that features Shaquille O’Neal talking about the September 2nd WEC show and the Donald Cerrone vs. Benson Henderson fight. The show is set to take place in Youngstown, OH, an hour away from Cleveland. Shaq recently signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA team. Shaq claims to have been training in MMA for nearly a decade now and says he is considering fighting once his NBA career ends.
